Announcing Name Change:
Cherry's South Tampa is Now
Hawk's Neighborhood Grill

TAMPA, FLORIDA [22 Jan 2007] - A big change has taken place at one of South Tampa's most popular eateries: Cherry's South Tampa is now Hawks' Neighborhood Grill.

"It has always been a dream of mine to have and direct my own company," said owner Jeff Hawks. "I wanted to build something that would continue to grow with the community and the new concept will do that."

Hawks made the decision to end his relationship with Cherry's Restaurants because he had a desire to grow and change.

"I just wanted a more sports oriented, family friendly theme, something more than we could do under our existing concept," he said. "Hawks Neighborhood Grill gives us the chance to do just that. The Cherry's concept is great and I wish the company continued success."

"The South Tampa location will probably not be the last," said Hawks. "I want Hawks' Neighborhood Grill to be something both my family and the community can be proud of. Once we have proven the new concept at our flagship location on Bay to Bay, I am sure we will consider expanding to other locations or franchise the concept."

For now, Hawks says that customers can expect the same quality service and great food that they have to come to appreciate at his restaurant. A new menu will feature greater variety than the standard sports bar fare. Hawks adds that Hawks' Neighborhood Grill will continue to be a place where families can come to celebrate or watch the big games. He is making special plans for Gasparilla Saturday which is expected to draw hundreds of thousands to the general area of his eatery, located just two blocks from the Gasparilla Parade start. Hawk's Neighborhood Grill will host a celebratory Piratefest Bash all day long, featuring live bands, delicious food and drink, and lots of fun.

Hawks' Neighborhood Grill is located at 3114 Bay to Bay Boulevard, just west of MacDill Avenue. It is open Sunday - Wednesday from 11-11 and Thursday-Saturday 11am-2am. For more information, call (813) 831-0600.
